With the new SimVSM function, a photo of your value stream is automatically converted into a digital model for efficient process improvement.
Value stream analysis thrives on clear representations on brown paper, with symbols, sticky notes and cards. This is exactly where the new AI function in the SimVSM app comes in. All you need is a photo and your value stream image is automatically digitised and immediately available for analysis and optimisation.
Your advantages at a glance:
- Save time: No manual tracing necessary
- Precise results: Symbols and structures are automatically recognised
- Work flexibly: Seamlessly combine analogue and digital methods
- Get started right away: Analyse and optimise models directly
The new AI feature at a glance

The SimVSM value stream analysis app makes digitising value streams even easier:
- Physically build the value stream (e.g. using the value stream kit from Sieben).
- Take a photo with the SimVSM app.
- The model is automatically digitised and is ready for analysis in the app.

More InformationCombining analogue and digital methods
The SimVSM app complements proven tools such as the methodology kit for process analysis from our partner SIEBEN Consulting-Training-System GmbH. The kit contains all the important symbols and materials needed to present value streams in a clear and structured way on brown paper.
The physical representation facilitates teamwork and creates a uniform understanding of the process. With the new AI feature, the transition to digital is now possible without additional effort. A photo of the constructed value stream is sufficient and the model is immediately available for further processing in SimVSM.
Workshops can thus take place as usual in analogue form, while the subsequent evaluation, optimisation and documentation are carried out digitally in the app. This creates a continuous workflow that combines both methods in a meaningful way.
